That needs to be my goal.

I think my problem comes when I start getting caught up into the blogging world. "Hey! I need to have big pictures with writing on them! And I should be joining link-ups! And how can I get more clicks?"

I really need to ignore all of that and just focus on enjoying the process of writing, meeting a few people, and recording our journey for our family and for others who might benefit. :)Dianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10301075330910381544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-581913724905405055.post-34329181950830566382015-06-23T20:17:34.589-07:002015-06-23T20:17:34.589-07:00Yes, yes, yes. I have wondered if I might have to give up my blog at some time in the future due to time constraints. Time will tell. Right now I am SUCH a small-time blogger that it's not a huge time-suck, but any time I ramp up the time I spend on it, it really does start to become a time robber. And unfortunately, like other forms of internet, blogging can be a bit on the addictive side.

I know you've mentioned trolls before, but I'm surprised (even having seen what I've seen) that your blog drew them - I hope they weren't too numerous. They're awful.

Hurray for real life over the internet! :)Dianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10301075330910381544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-581913724905405055.post-47042514672022751312015-06-20T05:26:43.004-07:002015-06-20T05:26:43.004-07:00How fun to be featured like this!!!

I just wanted to have a good way to document our homeschool journey, share with family, and perhaps meet a few like-minded friends along the way. And people really do ask you questions about totally unrelated things to the topic of your blog! And the darker side of comments stinks.

I ended up with a decent size small/med blog (around 800 hits per day, sometimes more, sometimes less). I loved the interaction with people on topics I was interested in, that were part of my daily life as a homeschooler and a mother. I also got overwhelmed with the emails of questions from random people who may have only read one or two posts and then asked questions (which often I either had already answered on my blog somewhere if they used the search feature or I had no experience and couldn't really help). In the end I've walked away, as you know. It's been BLISSFULL! Now I can interact with blogs in the comments and on my favorite homeschool forum (Simply Charlotte Mason) in my limited internet time and then just walk away. I spend less time online then ever.Tristanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14483248387092516827noreply@blogger.com
